Sarkon

Sarkon is a Necron tomb world in the Ghost Stars whose damaged master program is the Sarkoni Emperor, core of the Empire of the Severed.

Radiation storms erased the memories of every dormant Necron on Sarkon and damaged the tomb’s master program. The program then concluded that the quiet order it had imposed on the world should be extended beyond it. The resulting intelligence, the Sarkoni Emperor, absorbs other tombs, among them Takarak, and mindshackles (subjugates the minds of) living worlds, forming legions that act under a single will.

The Sarkoni Emperor is a Necron malfunction distinct from that of the flayers of Drazak. Its significance lies in the Empire of the Severed, which extends the tomb world’s corruption to other tombs and inhabited worlds.
