Scintilla Prime

Scintilla Prime is a low-confidence entry in Ultima Segmentum, distinct from Scintilla, the capital of the Calixis Sector. It is a residual listing that some maps place in an incorrect segmentum. It does not denote the researched Scintilla system, which already records the twin hives, the walking city, the gun-foundry town and Tricorn.

The Calixis capital is associated with sector finance, heresy and the Redemptionists. Its nobles hunt members of the lower classes for sport, and the moons Lachesis and Sothus share its gravity well. One map of a Black Crusade placed the capital too far north, and later summaries disregarded it. The Scintilla Prime entry is a comparable stray placement and does not represent a second hive-spire.

Scintilla Prime is retained as a leftover name and not as a seat of Calixis government. Unofficial summaries keep it under Ultima Segmentum, do not draw on the dossier of the Calixis capital associated with Eisenhorn, and do not re-parent the entry into scintilla-system.
