Sha’draig

Sha’draig was a T’au colony, not a full sept, that lay in the path of Hive Fleet Gorgon. It is chiefly recorded for the delaying action fought there under Shas’el Vorcah.

Ripper swarms had already consumed almost everything on the world when Kor’O’Vanan ordered a withdrawal. Shas’el Vorcah remained behind and used suicide strikes to break the synapse web, the network that coordinated the Tyranid swarms, until the Hive Fleet departed. The T’au cadres then abandoned the world, which had been left almost lifeless.

The resistance at Sha’draig gained time for Ke’lshan. The cost was a colony reduced to a near-dead world, and its defence stands as a sacrifice made to slow the advance of Hive Fleet Gorgon.
