Signus Beta

Signus Beta is the white-dwarf secondary of the Signus Cluster, a star rather than a mining world or the daemon capital Signus Prime. It lies within the Heresy trap associated with Sanguinius. The map records it with the kind “star” under the signus-system entry.

Signus Alpha, Signus Beta and Signus Gamma shared the sky over Kol, Signus Tertiary, Ta-loc, Scoltrum, Holst, Phorus and Signus Prime until daemons came to dominate the cluster. The white dwarf took no part in the fighting. The Blood Angels did, and afterwards posted beacons instructing passing traffic to keep clear of the cluster. The Cathedral of the Mark on the capital was destroyed by a cyclonic weapon, an event associated with Signus Prime and not with this star.

Signus Beta remains significant as the white dwarf of the cluster, and not as the remnant of a planet. Unofficial summaries file it under the signus-system entry, do not treat its map position as that of Signus Tertiary, and do not conflate it with Baal.
