Sinophia

Sinophia is a Periphery frontier world, formerly the personal fief of Rogue Trader Teresa Sinos and an Angevin staging world. It is now characterised by decline rather than by prosperity or leisure.

Its hives are losing population, and its tithe, the levy of resources and personnel owed to the Imperium, is subject to special measures. Hive Argopolis is already in ruins. The Calixis–Scarus conduit passes through the region, and smugglers use it more openly than the Quorum does.

Sinophia’s standing therefore rests on its past association with Sinos and the Angevin forces, and on its present position on the Calixis–Scarus route. Depopulation, irregular tithe arrangements and the ruin of Hive Argopolis mark it as a world in decay.
