Subsector Solar

Subsector Solar is the inner administrative division of Sector Solar that contains the Sol System, the immediate neighbourhood of Terra. It should not be confused with Segmentum Solar, the far larger division of the galaxy that bears a similar name. Sedna, Quaoar, Haumea, and a belt of outer rocks are catalogued on the same chart as sibling entries.

The Adeptus Terra, Mars, and the Astronomican are recorded one level below, under the Sol System. This entry therefore describes the administrative tier that surrounds the Sol System. It is not an alternative name for the Segmentum.

Subsector Solar remains relevant because Terra’s address is a nested one, not that of a single planet alone. Unofficial maps retain Sector Solar as the parent of this entry and do not reparent the Sol System to it.
