Tyrok Fields

Tyrok Fields is a landing ground on Hagia, a shrine world of the Sabbat Worlds, associated with the defence of the Shrinehold during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade. The name denotes an open expanse used for the disembarkation and marshalling of Imperial Guard reinforcements, most notably elements of the Tanith First-and-Only, during the crisis chronicled in Dan Abnett’s novel Honour Guard. It lies within reach of the Shrinehold, the fortified sanctuary housing relics attributed to Saint Sabbat.

During the episode in question, Hagia came under sustained assault by Archenemy forces intent on seizing or destroying the shrine and its relics, prompting an Imperial evacuation effort in which Tyrok Fields served as a principal staging point. Fighting across the fields is described as protracted and costly, forming a backdrop to the wider defence of the Shrinehold and the eventual withdrawal of its relics from the world. As with much of the terrain described in the Gaunt’s Ghosts novels, Tyrok Fields is known primarily through narrative description rather than cartographic sources.

Tyrok Fields belongs to the Sabbat Worlds associated with the Sabbat Worlds Crusade and has no attested connection to Cadia or the Cadian Gate; the two are separated within the broader galactic setting, and any suggested adjacency should be treated with caution. No precise galactic coordinates for the site are established in published material, and its placement is understood only in relation to Hagia and the Shrinehold.
