Volistad

Volistad is a feudal world in Segmentum Tempestus, terraformed by the Adeptus Mechanicus in M35 and rediscovered in M39 during a nuclear civil war.

The Adeptus Mechanicus terraformed Volistad in the 35th millennium (M35), after which warp storms cut the world off from the Imperium. It was found again in M39, when its inhabitants were engaged in a civil war fought with nuclear weapons. House Petchenka won the governorship of the world. A buried titan works, a facility for producing Titans, was later discovered in the Vorkata Reaches.

Around 986.M41, the Ork Warboss Skroll destroyed the lunar guns, overran Doscoya and occupied much of the world. Ultramarines established a beachhead, and Imperial Guard forces eventually defeated him. Volistad’s recorded history therefore comprises its terraforming, its rediscovery amid nuclear civil war, the discovery of the titan works, and the invasion led by Skroll.
