Illuminor Szeras is the Cryptek who helped turn the Necrontyr into metal and has spent the rest of eternity trying to remember how flesh worked. Zantragora is his laboratory. Living specimens are the tuition. Overlords pay him in harvests because no one else improves their guns and bodies quite like a scientist who hates being incomplete.
He wants the secret of organic life so he can be a better god. Faith, especially the kind that lets Sisters walk through fire, still offends him as an unsolved equation. Aeldari tissue is the prize he prices most highly.
The Pariah Nexus gave him a theatre. Draxus has met him in it. Szeras does not care who objects to the method. The method is the point.
