Nemiel

Nemiel was a Chaplain of the Dark Angels Legion during the Horus Heresy, killed by the primarch Lion El’Jonson.

Nemiel began his life on Caliban as an Aspirant of the planet’s knightly Order, the warrior brotherhood that hunted the feral world’s monstrous beasts. There he trained and served alongside Zahariel, who became his closest companion; the bond between the two shaped much of Nemiel’s later conduct within the Legion. When Lion El’Jonson united the Order under his rule and the brotherhood was absorbed wholesale into the Emperor’s Great Crusade forces as the Dark Angels Legion, Nemiel and Zahariel were inducted together, carrying their Calibanite oaths of loyalty and secrecy into their new Legion identity. Nemiel rose within the Chaplaincy, the office charged with guarding the spiritual discipline and ritual conduct of his battle-brothers, a role that placed him close to the Legion’s inner culture of obedience and confession.
