Altor Crusade

The Altor Crusade was an Ultramarines campaign of the 41st millennium fought against the Eldar. No world, sector or segmentum is recorded for it. During the crusade the young Librarian Varro Tigurius forewarned the Scouts of the 10th Company of a succession of ambushes planned by Eldar Pathfinders. His warnings, at first received with some scepticism, were heeded: rather than lead their recruits into the traps, the Scout Sergeants called in fire support from the Chapter’s Stormtalon gunships, whose assault cannon fire cut down the waiting snipers. Tigurius also warned Captain Agemman to arrive several hours early for armistice talks with an Eldar Autarch. When the Autarch arrived with his entourage, he found the jungle foliage that had concealed squads of Striking Scorpions burned to stubble by Agemman’s Land Raider Redeemer, Infernal Retribution, and the Captain waiting with his relic blade drawn. The crusade is remembered as the most notable accomplishment of Tigurius’s early career.
