Arrest of Eisenhorn on Cadia

The Arrest of Eisenhorn on Cadia took place in 339.M41, during Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn’s hunt for the renegade Quixos. Following the discovery on Cadia of the daemonhost Prophaniti and of ties between that creature, Cherubael and Quixos, Inquisitor Leonid Osma of the Ordo Malleus seized Eisenhorn under a carta extremis and held him in the Carnificina as Extremis Diabolus. The charges included daemonancy and complicity in the Thracian Primaris atrocity. Eisenhorn remained under interrogation for some months while Lord Inquisitor Rorken secured his extradition toward a Magistery Tribunal on Thracian Primaris. On the night before the Black Ships were to remove him, his retinue broke him out of the Carnificina. He fled aboard the Essene and continued the Quixos investigation as a declared outcast. The arrest belongs to Cadia’s institutional record, not to Thracian Primaris. Thracian supplied only the intended venue of trial. Eisenhorn cleared his name by killing Quixos on Farness Beta; the Cadia detention remained the moment at which his Quixos hunt was forced into the open as a rogue pursuit.
