Gregor Eisenhorn is an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos who started as an Amalathian Puritan and ended as a radical the rest of the Inquisition could not quite kill. Pontius Glaw, the Necroteuch, and the daemon Cherubael pulled him off the straight path one case at a time.
He lost most of a retinue, went missing more than once, and kept working because the alternative was letting the next heresy run. Ravenor was his pupil. Bequin was his casualty and his hope. The Distaff died for his wars.
He is not a saint and not quite a traitor. The Ordo still files him under both headings. That is what a long career in the Inquisition looks like when it does not end in a pyre.
