Assault on Eurytion
The Assault on Eurytion was a battle of the Palatine Crusade fought for the capital city of the planet Eurytion, in the Palatine Sector, after the war against the sector’s secessionist rebels had ground to a stalemate there. A Sister Repentia of the Order of Our Martyred Lady named Celestine fought in the first wave of Repentia against the city’s defences and is said to have killed more than a hundred schismatics before she fell alongside every other Repentia in that wave. When her body was set among the honoured dead, her sisters found life still within it, and once cleansed of the filth of battle it was found free of any wound. The assault resumed the following day with Celestine at its head, and the capital fell within hours. The battle is regarded as her first recorded death and return, and from it she became the figurehead of the wider crusade. Its date is not recorded.
