Assault on the Astronomican

The assault on the Astronomican was fought on Terra during the Siege of Terra, at the Hollow Mountain. Mortarion sent Typhus to retake the Astronomican from Corswain’s Dark Angels. After Jaghatai Khan’s attack on the Lion’s Gate spaceport banished Mortarion, Typhus took command of the Death Guard and the assault reached the Hollow Mountain. Forces of the Dark Angels and of Sigismund opposed him. A prayer led by Euphrati Keeler produced a psychic backlash that drove the Death Guard back and reactivated the Astronomican.
