Battle for Sularian Gate
The Battle for Sularian Gate was the decisive phase of the Battle for Honoria in 949.M41, fought at the Sularian Gate of the capital Aurelianum against Waaagh! Groblonik. Orks overran the Gate by scaling walls built from piled corpses and unleashed reserved aircraft that overwhelmed the anti-air batteries. Imperial forces fell back to the inner citadel. A stray shot struck Ezekiel in the left eye and left him unconscious and close to death. With Ezekiel incapacitated, Sergeant Balthasar led thousands of Guardsmen and armour in a counter-attack and dueled Groblonik again. Ezekiel was fitted with a simple bionic eye, refused a more elaborate replacement as a mark of respect to fallen comrades, and returned to the field in time to intervene. Wielding his psychic power he killed the Warboss, broke the Waaagh!, and afterwards succeeded Danatheum as Grand Master of the Dark Angels Librarians.
