Battle of Forrax
The Battle of Forrax was fought against the Renegade Warmaster of Forrax, in whose fortress Saint Celestine was lost. The Warmaster triggered the meltdown of the ancient atomic pile at the heart of his stronghold, a failsafe that blasted an area many kilometres across to ash. None survived to give a true account of the battle’s conclusion, and many believed that Celestine had perished in her moment of triumph. On Terra the Tower of Heroes tolled once to mark her loss, and the Sisters at prayer in the Convent Prioris took comfort in the belief that she now sat at the Emperor’s side. The date of the battle is not recorded, and it remains unclear whether her reported manifestation on Heletine in 980.M41 came before or after the events on Forrax.
