Battle of Hive-Moon Sigma

The Battle of Hive-Moon Sigma was fought in 405.M41, during the Macharian Heresy, on the hive-moon orbiting Ceti Albus. No segmentum or coordinates are recorded for the moon. About seventy Dark Angels of the 8th Company, under Captain Elijah, were sent to suppress a rebellion of several million labourers. The rising was led by Malvine Rhemell, a Fallen Dark Angel. Fighting through the under-hive cost the force nearly a third of its number before the stronghold was breached. Rhemell killed Elijah, wounded Asmodai, and escaped under a prepared demolition, then set the moon’s plasma generators to overload. The Dark Angels evacuated; Rhemell’s escape craft was lost among orbital platforms. Asmodai afterwards vowed to find him and make him repent, and was elevated to Interrogator-Chaplain.
