Battle of Hollonan
The Battle of Hollonan was fought in 992.M41 on the hive world Hollonan, during the Tyrannic Wars. A genestealer cult was purged, and a Tyranid invasion was defeated. The Blood Angels received a distress call about rebellions in the hives; Chief Librarian Mephiston led Strike Force Sanguinatus, and the rebellions proved to be a genestealer cult. After the cult was cut out of the world, bio-ships of a Hive Fleet Kraken splinter arrived, and Mephiston took control of Hollonan and called for aid from Baal and from Corinal, home world of the Angels Vermillion. Tyranid strikes destroyed the planetary defence batteries and the power generators, an antiquated network of fusion accumulators, and a filtration plant; Sanguinatus and the Planetary Defence Force were driven into the underhive. For two weeks Mephiston’s part of the line held; at the Chapel of the Emperor’s Repose he tore apart a Carnifex with his hands, he also killed the Hive Tyrant, and a Trygon badly wounded him. Companies of Blood Angels and Angels Vermillion then arrived in drop pods and Stormraven gunships, with forces of craftworld Ulthwé under Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, and together they destroyed the hive fleet’s presence on Hollonan. Mephiston was afterwards given a banner commemorating the battle. No segmentum of Hollonan is recorded.

He is listed alongside reinforcements from the Blood Angels and the Angels Vermillion, and did not command the Blood Angels’ Strike Force Sanguinatus.)
