Battle of Jovandira

The Battle of Jovandira was fought on the Relic World of Jovandira between the T’au Empire and the Imperium after T’au forces of the D’yanoi and Ke’lshan Septs conquered the world near the end of M41. No sector, system, or coordinates are recorded for the world beyond the Ultima Segmentum. Strike Force Retribution, a Torchbearer fleet diverted under Captain-General Trajann Valoris, included Adeptus Custodes, Imperial Fists under Captain Tor Garadon, and the Raven’s Watch. They struck a city where T’au Commanders Starstrike and Novastorm and Shas’la Longstrike oversaw the excavation of six Imperial relics. Both sides were devastated; Starstrike and Novastorm were killed, and the T’au in turn killed or wounded much of the Imperial leadership. Both forces retreated with the relics they had claimed. The Imperials recovered more relics, but neither side won outright.
