Battle of Midgardia

The Battle of Midgardia was fought in 933.M41 within the Fenris system. Trazyn the Infinite brought his Necron fleet to Midgardia in search of a C’tan shard of Nyadra’zatha, the Burning One. The Necrons seized the Imperial nova cannon Emperor’s Judgement and broke through the Magma Gates, the hive-fortresses that guarded the world. Logan Grimnar, then on Fenris, came to Midgardia’s aid with his Great Company; Necrons boarded his own vessel, the Void Wolf, and Deathmarks attempted to assassinate Grimnar there. Grimnar fought his way free and retook the Emperor’s Judgement, and the nova cannon’s fire drove off Trazyn’s Tomb Ship from orbit. Ulrik the Slayer and Njal Stormcaller fought Trazyn the Infinite himself on Infernus Peak, a mountain far beneath Midgardia’s surface. Grimnar then led an armoured assault across a wide valley near Midgardia’s jungles and forced his way into a gigantic pyramid there, but Trazyn teleported away before he could be stopped, carrying the C’tan shard with him.
