Beta Garmon Titandeath
The Beta Garmon Titandeath was a campaign of Titan warfare fought in the Beta-Garmon system during the Horus Heresy, delaying the Warmaster’s advance on Terra. The system, positioned athwart the most direct route to the Throneworld, became a chokepoint through which Horus’s fleets were compelled to pass, drawing Loyalist and Traitor forces into a protracted and devastating confrontation. Central to the fighting was the deployment of multiple Titan Legions on both sides, whose god-machines clashed amid the system’s worlds and orbital installations in engagements of unprecedented scale. The campaign combined vast void battles with ground assaults in which Titans, Knights and Legiones Astartes formations fought for control of key strongholds, inflicting losses so severe that entire Titan Legions were reduced to remnants of their former strength. Although Horus’s forces ultimately broke through, the resistance mounted at Beta-Garmon exacted a heavy toll on the Traitor war effort and bought the Loyalist defenders of Terra further time to prepare. The battle is remembered as one of the costliest engagements of the Horus Heresy, emblematic of the destruction wrought as the war approached its climax.
