Before the binding, Cherubael was not merely feared on Clanar II but adored: a cult spanning generations had raised the entity to the status of a planetary god, structuring worship, sacrifice, and doctrine around its presence. Quixos’s intervention did not liberate the world from this cult so much as displace its object of devotion, subordinating a being that had ruled through terror and reverence to the will of a single Inquisitorial master. Quixos achieved this by turning the apparatus of the Clanar II cult itself into the instrument of Cherubael’s confinement, repurposing its rites and its human material to bind the daemon into a mortal host rather than allow it to remain an unconfined, worshipped power. This transformed Cherubael from a deity commanding a world’s devotion into a daemonhost: a weaponised prisoner carried and directed by its captor. Quixos subsequently extended the same methodology to bind a second entity, Prophaniti, confirming that the Clanar II binding was not an isolated act but the founding case of a repeatable, and doctrinally radical, technique for producing daemonhosts.
