Boarding of the Sin of Damnation

The boarding of the space hulk Sin of Damnation was carried out in 589.M41 by the Blood Angels 1st Company under Captain Michaelus Raphael. Rogue Trader Borrak Vorra had sighted the hulk near the fortress-monastery on Baal. It is not recorded as a world, and the fighting took place on the hulk. More than eighty veterans in Terminator armour cleared the hulk of genestealers and recovered an ancient Blood Angels artefact. One account numbers the genestealers in the thousands; another says about forty thousand. Lexicanium Calistarius, later called Mephiston, was present as an honorary member of the company, and did not command. The boarding followed a disaster six hundred years earlier in the Secoris system, which had left only fifty Blood Angels alive.
