Calva Senoris Campaign

The Calva Senoris Campaign was part of a Dark Angels and Silver Eagles operation in the Narthex Nebula to free Imperial worlds from Ork enslavement. No year beyond M41 is recorded. Four worlds had already been liberated when the joint force struck the fifth system, Calva Senoris. One account spells the world Calva Senioris. Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai heard of a remarkable warrior leading the resistance against the Orks and, believing the warrior to be one of the Fallen, took command from Master Charon. He abandoned the assault on the Ork-held capital and attacked the resistance camp, killing those he found until he reached the warrior, who was Inquisitor Banist De Mornay of the Ordo Xenos, present to warn of the Ork attack. Meanwhile the Silver Eagles, left without Dark Angels support on their flank, were surrounded and suffered heavy losses. Charon reasserted command and led a counter-attack that relieved the survivors. De Mornay later took the matter to the Silver Eagles’ home world. Their Chapter Master Periphas sent emissaries to the Rock; Azrael left to answer them, and Asmodai was confined to his chambers and the chapel. On Azrael’s return Asmodai said his only regret was not killing the Inquisitor when he had the chance.
