Defence of Khirab

The Defence of Khirab was a series of battles in which Imperial forces intercepted and destroyed a host of Ork pirates pouring out of the Maelstrom towards the Khirab System, in the Endymion Cluster of Ultima Segmentum. According to the Myths of Endymion, an heirloom history held by the Rogue Trader Uvar Gannalt, the victory was won by the combined forces of several Maelstrom Warders Chapters led by the Astral Claws Chapter Master Lugft Huron, who personally slew the Warboss Rakka. Huron was afterwards hailed as a hero by the people of the Endymion Cluster, a reputation won while the Astral Claws still held senior command of the Maelstrom Warders and before the Badab War made him a rebel. No date for the battles is recorded.
