Defence of Sycorax
The Defence of Sycorax was fought in the Era Indomitus on the Adeptus Astra Telepathica death world of Sycorax in Ultima Segmentum, when a Necron host that included a shard of the Nightbringer and many Flayed Ones fell upon the planet and seized much of its population. Captain Uriel Ventris of the Ultramarines Fourth Company, recently crossed to Primaris plate, deployed with veterans of that company, among them Pasanius Lysane and Learchus Abantes. Mechanicum forces from Lucius, Imperial Guard regiments and Titans of the Legio Astorum fought beside them. The Imperials drove the Necrons from Sycorax and defeated the Nightbringer shard, a victory that closed a long arc for Ventris from the tomb war on Pavonis to this second confrontation with the same C’tan.
