Deliverance of Thrax

In 762.M41, Marneus Calgar led the Ultramarines to the daemon-corrupted forge world Thrax. Accounts of the fighting differ, and both are recorded here. One account holds that the Ultramarines descended and cleansed the world of its taint. The fighting was vicious, and Brother Speritas was slain; his rank and deeds are unclear, and he was afterwards interred in a Dreadnought armed with a lascannon and a power fist. Another account holds that Calgar retrieved data-records from the manufactorums while the world was being overrun, banished thousands of daemons, withdrew, and pronounced Exterminatus.
