Duel over the Spear of Vulkan

The Duel over the Spear of Vulkan was a personal combat in 878.M41 between the Salamanders Forgefather Vulkan He’stan and the Necron Overlord Trazyn the Infinite. No world or system is recorded. Trazyn, a collector of rare artefacts who rules the tomb world of Solemnace, sought to take the Spear of Vulkan, one of the nine Artefacts of Vulkan, from He’stan for his collection. He’stan defeated him in personal combat and kept the spear. It was Trazyn’s first attempt on the spear; in 943.M41 he tried again by luring He’stan into a trap on Tochran during the Tochran Crusade, and was again defeated. Trazyn is widely suspected of having caused the deaths of several earlier Forgefathers, although this has not been proven.
