Jago fortress war
The Jago fortress war was a protracted siege fought around an ancient Imperial stronghold on the fortress world of Jago during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade. The stronghold had been garrisoned as a holding position while the wider crusade advanced elsewhere; among the units left to defend it was the Tanith First-and-Only regiment of the Imperial Guard. Cut off from resupply and command, the garrison endured dwindling provisions, and reports arose of spectral disturbances and unexplained deaths within the fortress’s older reaches.
