Return to Acralem
In 999.M41, two hundred years after his first victory on Acralem, Supreme Grand Master Kaldor Draigo returned alone to the world when a distress beacon again named daemons there. Knowing the hand of M’kar the Reborn, he purged Castle Gorseth with psyflame and held the Trebarin Valley for two days so that the Cadian 912th could withdraw. On the crown of Shadow Peak he faced M’kar before the warp rift that fed the incursion. Their duel broke Draigo’s Nemesis blade; he still drove the shattered weapon into the daemon’s heart and banished him, but M’kar seized Draigo and dragged him through the gate into the warp. From that seizure dates the exile in which the Grey Knights continue to elect Draigo Supreme Grand Master in absentia, while he fights without a fixed front across the Immaterium.
