Shattering of Lugganath

The Shattering of Lugganath was an assault by the Emperor’s Children upon the Aeldari craftworld Lugganath in 764.M34. Fabius Bile took a leading part, seeking not the Legion’s usual prizes of sensation but a means to arrest the progressive decay of his own body—a decline centuries of self-experimentation had failed to reverse. In the course of the attack, Bile’s former acolyte Oleander Koh and a band of Harlequins manoeuvred events so as to press him to resume open command of the Emperor’s Children as a warleader. Bile refused that role and insisted that his scientific work continue. The Shattering is remembered among the Aeldari as a catastrophic blow to Lugganath and among Imperial and Traitor chronicles as one of the Primogenitor’s rare named campaigns of the Long War outside the Eye of Terror.
