Fabius Bile was Chief Apothecary of the Emperor's Children and became the Spider, a fleshcrafter who treats the galaxy as a lab that has not yet told him no. He cloned primarchs, sold gene-work to anyone paying, and walked away from Slaanesh without ever becoming a worshipper.
He stole Horus's corpse, built monsters in Canticle City, and kept working after Abaddon burned the clones. His New Men are an answer to a question the Emperor already tried. Fabius does not care that the first attempt ended on the Throne.
He is still alive because he is useful, vicious, and hard to corner. Chemos made a surgeon. The Long War made a plague with opinions.
