Siege of Hypnoth

The Siege of Hypnoth was fought in 910–911.M41 for the Imperial forge world Hypnoth in the Vidar Sector of Ultima Segmentum. The Necron Sautekh Dynasty under Phaeron Imotekh the Stormlord assaulted the world and released a technophagic virus that destroyed the Adeptus Mechanicus defences, bringing about the planet’s fall. Lector Dogmatis Videx witnessed the annihilation and thereafter harboured a lasting resolve to destroy xenos works. After the siege Hypnoth passed into Sautekh control. The engagement stands among Imotekh’s dated Eastern Fringe campaigns of the later forty-first millennium, alongside Somonor, Sanctuary 101 and Schrödinger VII.
