Siege of Zalathras

The Siege of Zalathras was fought in 797.M41, when the Ultramarines 2nd Company, under Marneus Calgar, engaged Orks under Warboss Brug. Brug’s forces besieged the world but did not pass its city gates. Calgar held one gate alone for a night and a day, and no Ork passed him before he rejoined his forces. The Ultramarines then counter-attacked and destroyed the Ork force on the planet, and Calgar was afterwards called the Gatekeeper of Zalathras. Some enemies of the Imperium, including the Iron Warrior Honsou, dismissed this account as propaganda.
