Waaagh! Grax and Waaagh! Rarguts
Waaagh! Grax and Waaagh! Rarguts were two large-scale Ork invasions of the forge world Ryza in Segmentum Ultima. A Waaagh! is a mass Ork migration and assault, and these two are the Ork invasions recorded as having struck Ryza, a world known as the plasma forge. Ryza ranked second only to Mars among the forge worlds at the close of the Great Crusade, and it bore the cost of that standing during the Horus Heresy. Its priesthood treats every battle as an opportunity to test weapons. The two Waaaghs came after the Heresy and ravaged the planet’s dunes. The material available here does not record their dates, commanders or outcomes. Together with a later daemon invasion, the two Waaaghs form the series of assaults that have devastated Ryza since the Heresy. The world remains one of the foremost centres of weapons manufacture, and its priesthood’s practice of testing weapons in battle remains its defining characteristic.
