War of the Spider on Bairsten Prime

The fighting on Bairsten Prime formed part of the War of the Spider during the Psychic Awakening of M42. After Fabius Bile stole the Death Guard artefact known as the Ark Cornucontagious, Typhus pursued him, and Bile allied with Argento Corian’s Shriven warband. On Bairsten Prime, Bile’s forces captured members of the Adeptus Custodes and the Sisters of Silence for use as experimental subjects—specimens prized for genetic and psychic traits ordinary human stock does not supply. No segmentum or galactic coordinates for Bairsten Prime are firmly recorded. The world is remembered in that war chiefly as the site of those captures, after which the campaign moved on toward the fortress world of Dessah.
