The Astral Knights were a Space Marine Chapter that sacrificed themselves entirely in a boarding action against a Necron World Engine, ramming their entire fleet including their fortress-monastery into the alien construct. Their heroic last stand saved billions of Imperial citizens and destroyed an otherwise unstoppable threat. The Chapter was granted the Lamenters' yellow and checkered livery as a mark of honor.
