9836-18 Grave Core

9836-18 Grave Core is a gas giant in the Ghoul Stars, also called the Ghost Stars. No system name or coordinates are recorded. The Imperial designation marks it as the eighteenth world taken during High Marshal Helbrecht’s crusade against the Cythor Fiends.

It had been the capital world of that xenos race. Its atmosphere is toxic and extremely cold. Helbrecht’s crusade found the world empty of Cythor Fiends, destroyed their orbital platforms, failed to destroy the planet itself, and set the atmosphere on fire. Death Spectres under Captain Naroosh accompanied the Black Templars’ main force.

The crusade was afterwards cut short by the call to Armageddon for the Third War.
