Amistel System

The Amistel System is a star system in the Agripinaa Sub-sector, Segmentum Obscurus, whose principal world became a battleground of the 13th Black Crusade. Its principal world, Amistel, served as a trench line in that campaign rather than as a quiet tithe world, one that supplies regular levies to the Imperium.

The system lies close enough to the Cadian Gate that plague winds from the Eye of Terror reach it early. Amistel raised cavalry regiments and gave Ursarkar Creed an early engagement against Bluehacker Orks. Death Guard virus bombs later rendered the air unlivable, even for Space Marines (Astartes). A second world, Amistel Majoris, shares the same charted gravity well. The Drookian Fen Guard, the Howling Griffons and Legio Astorum delayed the collapse of the defence but did not prevent it.

The Amistel System remains significant as an entrance to the Agripinaa Sub-sector that Chaos forces expended heavy numbers to breach. Unofficial fan summaries retain the Agripinaa Sub-sector as its parent location and do not treat the system as a peacetime hive world.
