Amistel

Amistel is an Agripinaa hive that became a war world and the source of the tithe regiments known as the Amistel Cavalry, including the 24th. A tithe is the levy of troops that a world supplies to the Imperium.

In 977.M41 Creed made his name on Amistel in fighting against Bluehacker Orks. He afterwards survived a plot by a jealous colonel. During the 13th Black Crusade, Plague Marines and then Death Guard virus bombs made the air of Amistel unfit to breathe for any length of time, even for Astartes (Space Marines).

The Drookian Fen Guard, the Howling Griffons and the Legio Astorum fought in the defence of Amistel but only delayed the collapse of the trench-war front. The world is therefore recorded both as the origin of the Amistel Cavalry and as the setting of Creed’s early distinction and of a failed defence in the 13th Black Crusade.
