Anvil 206 System

The Anvil 206 System is a naval address in the Orar Sub-sector of the Gothic Sector, known chiefly as the location of Blackstone Fortress II. Its planetary surface is scarcely attested, and the system’s principal feature is the orbit in which the fortress was stationed.

Imperial crews held Blackstone Fortress II until the end of the Gothic War, when the Blackstone fortresses destroyed themselves. The vessel Terminus Est undertook a mission through the same charted space. No populated hive world and no planet-destroying event comparable to that at Fularis is recorded for the system.

The system retains significance as one of the six Blackstone Fortress locations of the 12th Black Crusade. Unofficial maps place it under the Orar Sub-sector because the fortress, rather than any planet, accounts for its inclusion.
