Attila System

The Attila System is a star system in Ultima Segmentum whose steppe world, Attila, supplies the Imperium’s Attilan Rough Riders. The Astra Militarum, the Imperial Guard, recruits these cavalry from the horse clans of Attila.

Attila is a single-continent world whose economy rests on herds of ovigor. It has one city, Khanasan. The Guard draws its riders from the clans of the steppe. Other worlds in the charted system include Agrippus, Alexandrum, Gylax VI and Hanibael. Jambonium is associated with the Ymga Monolith, a Necron artefact also situated in the system. The Monolith is a separate feature and is not the system’s principal export.

The Attila System remains significant because the Guard continues to field cavalry drawn from its clans. Its riders are the system’s defining contribution to Imperial forces. This entry retains the system’s placement in Ultima Segmentum and does not relocate Attila to Chogoris on the basis of a shared association with horses.
