Bakka System

The Bakka System is the naval-capital star system of Segmentum Tempestus, a young mineral well whose principal world is lava seas and black rock rafts. Battlefleet Tempestus answers from here; shipyards sit on those rafts behind adamantium walls, and Tempest Hold keeps watch in orbit.

Bakka is one of the five Segmentum fortresses: Solar has Mars, Obscurus has Cypra Mundi, Pacificus has Hydraphur, Ultima has Kar Duniash, and the south has this furnace. Ork wars, Tyranid tendrils, and every southern crusade have used Bakka's yards as the last dock before the void. The air is poison; the output is fleets.

The Bakka System still matters because Segmentum Tempestus has no second capital of this scale. Unofficial fan maps keep the Bakka Sector parent and do not confuse this fortress with Bakka the person or with a random Tempestus hive.
