Belis Corona System

The Belis Corona System is a star system in the Belis Corona Sub-sector that serves as a naval munitions magazine for Battlefleet Obscurus. A magazine, in this sense, is a store of ordnance and ammunition. The system’s principal world, Belis Corona, is a lifeless planet with orbital docks above it, where whole battlefleets can rearm, and with munitions held in bunkers many kilometres beneath the surface.

The system lies within the Belis Corona Sector, adjacent to the Cadian Gate, and is a military installation rather than a civilian hive cluster. During the 13th Black Crusade, Typhus attacked the system. Neighbouring worlds, including Subiaco Diablo, Belisimar and Laurentix, suffered plague and evacuation in the same season in which the Cadian Gate collapsed. Because its docks and magazines continued to operate, Battlefleet Obscurus was able to keep loading shells after the fall of Cadia.

The Belis Corona System is significant as a supply depot rather than as an administrative centre. Unofficial fan maps retain the Belis Corona Sub-sector as its parent location and do not present the system as a replacement for Cypra Mundi.
