Bhakhar

Bhakhar is a forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus, its surface given over to manufactoria, ore refineries and the smoke-wreathed habitation blocks of its indentured workforce. The world’s value as a source of matériel has made it a recurring target for Chaos raiders operating at the edges of Imperial space. In 983.M41, Bhakhar came under sustained attack from Khornate traitors, and Space Wolves forces under the command of Berek Thunderfist were deployed to break the assault. The fighting across the forge world’s manufactoria and refineries was protracted and bloody, and it was during this battle that Berek Thunderfist was slain by the champion Ghorox Bloodfist. Bhakhar’s defences ultimately held, and the forge world returned to full production in the years following the attack, though its name remained associated within the Space Wolves with the loss of one of the Chapter’s most notable Wolf Lords.
