Charys

Charys is a world bound to the warp in a manner that renders its geography unstable and its skies perpetually disordered, regarded by the Space Wolves as a mirror or echo of more stable realms rather than a fixed location in real space. Daemonic taint pervades its surface, and the world has served as a refuge for renegade sorcerers seeking isolation from Imperial attention. Charys gained significance in Space Wolves history as the site to which the renegade Madox withdrew after the fall of Garm, carrying with him the stolen Spear of Russ. The world is also associated with the lost 13th Great Company of the Space Wolves, elements of which were encountered there, their long separation from Fenris having left them altered by decades spent amid its warp-touched terrain. Charys’s instability makes sustained Imperial presence impossible, and the world is approached only by those with cause to seek out what has been hidden within it.
