Cheraut

Cheraut is a human world of the Cheraut System in the Ultima Segmentum, brought into the Imperium during the Great Crusade after a long and bitter war. Its population resisted with unusual ferocity, and warriors of five Space Marine Legions, among them the Imperial Fists, the Night Lords and the Emperor’s Children, together with millions of Imperial Army troops, were needed to reduce it after months of siege. The Night Lords under Konrad Curze committed many atrocities against its people. The world is chiefly remembered for the aftermath of its conquest, when Rogal Dorn confronted Curze over the massacres and over his visions of civil war, and Curze beat Dorn, escaped custody and led his Legion to destroy Nostramo.
