Chogoris System

The Chogoris System is the home star system of the White Scars, centred on the steppe world of Chogoris in Mundus Planus. Jaghatai Khan rode the Empty Quarter of this world. Quan Zhou, the fortress-monastery of the V Legion, overlooks nomad tribes that hunt beneath the same sun the Khan knew.

Chogoris is the principal world of the system. Khalotus Aleph, Rastorphin, Shovith and Thanadus share the same charted gravity well. The White Scars continue to recruit from the plains of Chogoris, and the Legion’s tradition of speed has remained in this system rather than moving to a more convenient fortress. This site places the system under Jambonium in Segmentum Solar. Many lore maps instead locate Mundus Planus toward Ultima, and the existing parent is retained here.

The Chogoris System remains the cultural centre of the White Scars. It explains why the Chapter still answers from a nomad world of steppe and horse rather than from a hive world. Unofficial fan notes on this site treat Mundus Planus and Chogoris as a single home, not as the seats of two different Chapters.
