Chrysis

Chrysis is the first knight world rediscovered by the Great Crusade, in 850.M30, and belongs to House Krast. It lies a short distance from Mars, but it is not the domain of House Taranis, the knight house of Mars.

Its proximity to Mars allowed House Krast to restock its knight engines. The same proximity later drew the host of Horus towards the world, and that host devastated the lesser houses on the route to Terra. House Krast returned to find Chrysis burnt.

Since that return, House Krast has hunted traitors. Chrysis stands as the earliest knight world recovered by the Great Crusade, and as a house world whose position near Mars shaped both its rearmament and its ruin.
